“This company is my life mission – to have no other wife, mother, father, friend or family member experience the pain of not having their missing or deceased loved one’s stories continue to be told until they are found or the crime leading to their passing is solved and the perpetrator(s) are held accountable.”

INEQUALITY IN MEDIA ATTENTION
Experts say the United States faces “Missing White Women Syndrome,” which is defined by the heavier media attention White women and girls receive when they go missing compared to anyone outside of those demographics, according to a study published by the Northwestern University School of Law in 2016. The study points out that missing Black people are less likely to garner media attention at the outset than other groups and when they do make the news and they receive a lower intensity of coverage.
613,000 people reported missing in the U.S. last year, about 60% were people of color.
Black women make up less than 7% of the U.S. population, they represent about 10% of all missing persons cases throughout the country
According to 2020 FBI data, Black people make up 35% of missing persons reports but only 13% of the US population
